Sandra Gold, President

Dr. Sandra Gold’s professional career began as a high school educator and guidance counselor. These responsibilities led her to studies in educational psychology and counseling culminating in  Masters and Doctorate degrees from Rutgers University. Among her numerous awards, she has received Honorary Doctorate Of Humane Letters degrees from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and Rutgers University NJ School of Medicine and Dentistry for her “lifetime of service to others”, as well as, the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Service Award for Distinguished Service. 

 

Sandra served as Founder and President of the UJA Federation Association for the Developmentally Disabled and Co-Founder and President of  The Arnold P. Gold Foundation. She was the Founder and Chair of the JCC Thurnauer School of Music and a Founding Board Member of The Adler Aphasia Center. Dr. Gold has served as President of the JCC on the Palisades and  The Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center in Rockleigh. Relative to her experience and interest in research, she has served as the President of the Florence G. Heller Research Board of the JWB; the Chair of the Berman Research Center at JESNA and a member of The Myoclonus Research Foundation Board. She continues to serve as a trustee on several local and national boards. Her other  volunteer leadership service memberships include the Columbia University Health Sciences Advisory Council, The Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center Advisory Committee, and The Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School Advisory Council.
